CAREER OPPORTUNITY - PRIVATE CHEF
Summary
Bahamas Catamaran Charters is seeking a chef to be onboard our catamaran charters in the Bahamas. We provide 3 meals a day to our clients. Clients fill out a preferences sheet before booking with us. A typical catering schedule can reviewed here.
Our charters are aboard catamaran luxury yachts. We travel around the Exumas and Eleuthera islands, catering food and activities for clients that can be parties of 2 to 8 people. Often these clients are couples, families, or corporate staff outtings.
Responsibilities
- Set up and purchasing of provisions after reviewing the preference sheet
- Preparation, cooking, presenting dishes
- Maintenance and upkeep of kitchen area during the charter and shortly after
Requirements
- Non smokers only
- Work experience as a chef in the restaurant and catering industry
- BONUS: ocean experience, sailing experience, PADI certifications, swimming skills

- Position would start as part time based on booked charters and candidate availability, but then could lead to full time employment based on demand

CAREER OPPORTUNITY - CHINESE CONCIERGE
Summary
Bahamas Catamaran Charters is expanding our staff and charter offerings to prepare for the tourism industry development from China. We are seeking a concierge to serve as a cultural and language bridge between the client and the captain of the catamaran yacht. We are seeking intelligent, outgoing, creative individuals that can represent our business and brand with dignity, work closely with the captain and staff as a team, and also share our love of the ocean and passion for cuisine and cooking.
Our charters are aboard catamaran luxury yachts. We travel around the Exumas and Eleuthera islands, catering food and activities for clients that can be parties of 2 to 8 people. Often these clients are couples, families, or corporate staff outtings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as translator between clients and the captain
- Provide consulting to the captain on cultural sensitivities of the clients
- Participate in day to day upkeep of the vessel
- Assist chef in catering a dish that combines the resources of the caribbean with chinese cuisine
Requirements
- Must be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese
- Must be fluent in English
- Hospitality industry, public relations, or event planning experience
- Appreciation or love for the ocean
- BONUS: ocean experience, sailing experience, PADI certifications, swimming skills, cooking skills
